“DUN-DORABLE IN THE CATSKILL MOUNTAINS OF NYS!”

Alpacas of Dun-Dor Woods is a small and growing, alpaca farm located in the Catskill Mountains of NYS on the edge of Ulster and Delaware Counties. ADDW is just a five minute ride up the mountain from Belleayre Ski Center, operated by New York State.

Mr. Goline Doremus and Ms. Freddi Dunleavey decided in 2000 that it was time to invest themselves in something that would allow the opportunity to enjoy their Catskill country home near Belleayre Mountain and be involved with the caretaking of a rare and wonderful type of livestock... the Alpaca!

After researching and visiting numerous alpaca breeders, they purchased their initial three foundation females from Thompson Hollow Alpacas.

Freddi is the full-time caretaker and Go is the man responsible for making it all happen...from the fencing to the barn that is now almost complete. Together Freddi and Go work to keep their alpacas healthy and content.

Dun-Dor Woods raises colorful huacaya alpacas of varied hues.

ADDW started with three award winning huacaya females and over the past five years has been busy breeding these dams to superior ribbon winning alpaca sires.

ADDW chooses male huacayas that have perfect conformation, lustrous, crimpy fiber and gentle temperaments. These herdsires carry genetics from some of the best alpacas in the country. ADDW has chosen sires from Thompson Hollow Alpacas, Spa Alpacas, Alpacas of Maple Lane, HaSu Ranch Alpacas, New England Alpacas, Quarry Ridge Alpacas and Pawlin Alpacas.
